The knife sharpener is made of stainless steel with a diamond coating 360 grit / 600 grit.- The steady two-sided diamond layer with two different grit sizes provides a quality sharpening edge knife including ceramics and hard steels. For rough sharpening use the surface featuring a coarse 360 grit as used for seriously damaged knives with a blunt blade.The surface with 600grit is used for the final stage of sharpening to eliminate burrs on the knife-edge and to provide a smooth, polished edge on the blade.- Plastic inserts prevent the sharpener from sliding during operation.Not suitable for serrated knives.
